We handle appeals from Charter School Application Denials, Non Renewals, and Terminations, as spelled out in Section 1002.33 Florida Statutes. We also handle appeals from School Board’s Failure to finalize or amend charter contracts, depending on the nature of the appeal taking it to Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH) or the Charter Appeal Review Commission and the State Board of Education. Charter schools have the ability to recover fees and costs from the District when they prevail in certain DOAH appeals.
